Description

The Blur is a compact modern wall light: a cylinder of clear ribbed glass held on a small round backplate in a gold finish. The glass is ribbed all the way round, its fine vertical flutes catching the light so the shade reads as a column of lines on the wall, whether lit or unlit. It takes one G9 lamp, and we recommend a G9 LED for it. It stands 10cm tall and projects 11.5cm from the wall, with a 10cm glass shade, so it sits close and tidy rather than reaching out into a room or passageway.

Because it is so small, it works where a larger wall light would crowd the space: either side of a bed, beside a mirror in a hallway, along a landing or above a reading chair. Fitted as a pair, it frames a headboard or a fireplace neatly, and a run of them down a corridor gives a steady rhythm of gold and glass. It suits a modern scheme, and the gold finish warms plain painted walls, dark panelling and patterned wallpaper alike.
