Description

The Bloom is a single-globe pendant that hangs one white acid-etched glass shade from a slim black stem and ceiling rose. This is the 220mm size, built around an E27 fitting, so it takes a standard screw-cap bulb and throws more light than the smaller Bloom globes. The etched glass diffuses the source into a soft, even ball rather than a bright point, and the black metalwork keeps the drop discreet against the pale glass.

One large globe gives a broad, contained pool of light, which suits it to a spot over a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading chair where you want usable brightness from a single point. Lit, the acid-etched shade keeps the E27 lamp soft and glare-free; unlit, it reads as a white glass ball on a neat black drop.

We supply it on a black PVC cable, ready to wire, with the drop adjustable from 1000mm down to a long 2756mm. That range lets a single piece hang low over a table or sit higher as general room light. The E27 cap takes a standard screw-in bulb of your choice, so you set the brightness and colour temperature.

What kind of light does the Bloom 220mm give?

A soft, broad pool. The white acid-etched glass shade diffuses the E27 lamp into an even ball of light, and the 220mm globe spreads it wider than the compact sizes, so it gives usable brightness over a table or chair without glare.

What bulb does it take and is one included?

It uses a single E27 screw-cap bulb up to 42W. A bulb is not included, so we would fit an E27 lamp to suit; the standard cap means a wide choice of LED bulbs and colour temperatures.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the E27 bulb fitted. With a dimmable E27 lamp on a compatible dimmer the light can be lowered; the fitting itself has no integrated driver.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The glass globe is 220mm across, with an adjustable drop from 1000mm to 2756mm. The larger size and E27 output suit it to a spot over a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading chair, and the long cable lets you hang it low or high.
