Description

The Bisel Glass Table Lamp is a slim cylinder of light for a desk, a shelf or a bedside table. A clear, fluted glass tube sits inside a copper sleeve, and a tapered cut-out in the sleeve lets a narrow line of glass show through, so light runs down the metal towards the base. The fluting breaks the glow into fine vertical lines when the lamp is lit. It stands 21cm tall and just 6.4cm across, which makes it easy to place where space is tight: it takes up little more room than a tall drinking glass. The copper finish has a warm, bright shine that catches the light from the glass.

We think it is at its best on a bedside table, a writing desk or a reception counter, working as an accent light alongside the main lighting in a room. Its clean, modern lines suit a contemporary home, and the copper brings warmth to a scheme of soft greys, chalky whites or deep greens. A pair works well either side of a bed or at each end of a sideboard. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only, such as bedrooms, living rooms, studies, hallways and offices. The 2m textile cable gives you some freedom to reach a socket that is not right beside the furniture.
