This is a small grey vase in 100% ceramic with a shape that is all its own: a short neck rises from a broad body, and each side steps out twice in rounded tabs, so the outline reads almost like a cog. The surface is finely speckled and textured, with a soft, matt look, and a plain band runs around the base where the grey stops. At 14cm long, 10cm wide and 16cm tall, it is a compact piece for a shelf or a mantelpiece rather than a floor vase, and it weighs 0.8KG, which gives it a pleasing heft in the hand.
