The BIMU S200 Uni is a linear LED pendant light: one slim, straight bar 200cm long, just 2cm across and 3cm tall, hung from two fine cables with a drop of up to 230cm. The light source is integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. At 30W it gives 3358 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true. We offer it in Black, Black & Orange or White, so you can choose a line that almost vanishes against a pale ceiling or one that draws a crisp, dark stroke across the room.

At 200cm, this pendant is made for long surfaces. Over a dining table, its line of light runs along the table rather than pooling in one spot, so the places at each end are lit as well as those in the middle. In a living room it sits well over a long sideboard or a run of seating, and the same clean line suits a long desk in a study. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. Because it is not dimmable, it gives its full output whenever it is switched on, which makes it best where you want clear, steady light rather than a low glow.

The design is by Carrasquet, who has pared the pendant back to a single straight line with neat ends where the cables meet the bar. The shape is the same whichever finish you choose, so you can pick the colour purely to suit the room. With the LED built in, there is no lamp holder or bulb to think about. It is wired in to the mains by an electrician. Before you order, check that a drop of up to 230cm suits your ceiling height and the table or desk you mean to hang it over.
