Description

The BIMU S150 Uni is a linear LED pendant light: a single slim bar, 150cm long and 2cm in diameter, with a height of 3cm, that hangs level on fine suspension cables. We offer it in Black, Black & Orange or White, so it can sit quietly against a pale ceiling or draw a clean dark line across the room. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 2518.5 lumens from 22.5W at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and food keep their true colours beneath it.

Its length makes it a natural fit over a long dining table, where one bar spans the run of places, and it works just as well in a living room or above a desk in a home study. Hang it low over a table, or higher to light a room overall: the drop goes up to 230cm, so it suits tall ceilings as well as standard ones. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only, and we would not hang it anywhere it could be splashed. The fitting is not dimmable, so it runs from an ordinary on and off switch rather than a dimmer.

The BIMU S150 Uni was designed by Carrasquet, and its appeal lies in its restraint: one straight, slender line of light at a single 150cm length. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, runs at 24V DC and is a Class I fitting. Every finish, Black, Black & Orange or White, comes in the same size with the same light, so you can choose purely on colour and the room it hangs in. Before you order, measure from your ceiling to the height you want the bar to hang at, and check that it falls within the 230cm maximum drop. Our photographs show the white version.
