Description

The BIMU S100 Ele is a linear LED pendant light: a slim bar, 100cm long and 2cm across, that hangs level from two fine cables and draws a clean line of light along its underside. It is 20cm tall, with a drop of up to 230cm, so it can come down low over a table even under a high ceiling. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It gives 1679 lumens from 15W at 2700K, a warm light, with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true. We sell it in three finishes: Black, Black & Orange or White.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. At 100cm long, it sits well over a dining table, where one line of light runs along the table rather than leaving a single pool in the middle, and it suits a living room just as well, hung over a sideboard or a long desk. It is not dimmable, so it gives the same steady light every time it is switched on: good for meals, homework and reading, with softer lamps around it for the evening. The 2700K colour is warm enough to feel at home in either room.

The design is by Carrasquet, and it is all restraint: a 2cm tube, two slim fixings and nothing else to catch the eye. The Black and the White finishes keep it quiet against a plain ceiling, while Black & Orange adds a small note of colour where the cables meet the bar. It runs at 24V DC and is a Class I fitting, wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Before you order, check your ceiling height against the 230cm drop, so the bar hangs where you want it over the table. Our photographs show the white version.
