This is a stoneware vase painted by hand, with a full, rounded body that sits on a short footed base and narrows to a flared neck. Two loop handles rise from the shoulders and join the rim, each finished with a small ball where it meets the neck. Bold stripes curve and wave over the body, broken by a painted spot on either side, so the piece reads as multicoloured rather than a single shade.
