Description

The Berry S is a slim LED pendant light: a narrow tube 37cm tall and 3.2cm across, with a small domed head at its foot that angles to point the light where you want it. The head is 8cm across and 5cm tall, and the canopy at the ceiling is also 8cm across and 5cm tall. Its overall height is 250cm. Inside the head is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 4.5W and gives 546lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look true to colour. We offer it in Black, White, Beige or Bronze.

We think it suits a dining room best, hung over the table to put light where you eat, and it works just as well in a living room, angled towards a reading chair, a shelf or a favourite picture. Because the tube is so narrow and the head so small, one on its own stays quiet in a room, while several hung in a row over a long table make a clear line without crowding the space. It is not dimmable, so it gives its full light whenever it is on and needs no dimmer switch. It is an indoor fitting for dry rooms.

The design is by Stone Designs, and the construction is simple and clean: a round canopy at the ceiling, a fine cable down to the top of the tube, and a short loop of cable from the tube to the head, which leaves the head free to tilt. The fitting runs on 230V mains and is wired in by an electrician, and we always recommend a qualified one. With an integrated LED and no bulb to replace, there is little upkeep once it is hung; simply set the head where the light is needed. Our photographs show the bronze version.
