Description

The Bella Direct is a slim aluminium LED pendant light: a flat disc 10.1cm across and just 1.3cm deep, hung from a fine central stem 14cm long, in a brushed brass finish. A white diffuser ring runs around the underside, and the integrated LED shines down through it, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 388 lumens at 4.5W or 6.5W, depending on the version, with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and faces look true to colour. It comes in 2700K, the warmer white, or 3000K, a touch crisper.

Small as it is, the Bella Direct earns its place over a dining table, where one pendant marks a single setting or several hang in a row, and in a living room beside a reading chair or above a side table. With a maximum drop of 300cm, it suits tall ceilings as well as ordinary ones. It comes with canopy or without canopy. The version with canopy has its own canopy, 5.5cm across and 13cm tall, so it hangs on its own. The version without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), hangs with others from one shared canopy. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The fitting runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately and not included, which converts the supply to the power that version runs on; it will not light without one. The brushed brass finish has a soft, fine grain rather than a mirror shine, and it sits well beside warm woods and pale stone. Before you order, choose your colour temperature and canopy version, and decide how low you want it to hang, up to 300cm.
