Description

We stock the Basic Texture Wood LED pendant in black as a slim cylindrical light for over a table or island. An integrated 5W LED sits inside a tall, narrow metal tube finished to look like oak grain, and it hangs from a black metal canopy on a fabric-covered cable at up to 1500mm drop. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or replace.

The light casts downward through the open base of the tube in a wide 180 degree cone, so it gives focused task lighting rather than a room-wide fill. That makes it a good fit over a dining table, kitchen island, breakfast bar or a narrow console where a compact footprint matters, and the slender profile lets you hang several in a row along a longer worktop. The oak-grain metal finish brings a little warmth to contemporary, Scandi and minimalist rooms without the upkeep of real wood.

You choose the light colour from three settings, warm 2700K, neutral 3000K or cool 4000K, giving between 360 and 439 lumens depending on the temperature you pick. The 5W LED renders colour at 80 CRI, which suits general task lighting though it sits below the 90-plus preferred for colour-critical work. It runs on mains AC 220-240V, is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces only, and is not dimmable. The energy class is F.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The 5W LED is integrated into the tube, so there is no separate bulb to fit or replace.

Is it dimmable?

No. This pendant is not dimmable, so we would not recommend pairing it with a dimmer switch. You can still choose the mood through the colour temperature setting, from warm 2700K to cool 4000K.

Where can I use it?

It is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations, so it is suited to living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens. We would not fit it in a bathroom or anywhere exposed to moisture. Its downward beam works best over a table, island or breakfast bar.
