Description

We stock the Basic Texture as a compact 50mm circular wall light cut from natural white marble. The stone itself forms the body and mounting plate, with an integrated 5W LED recessed into the back of the disc and the cable exit hidden behind the wall plate. It gives 300 lumens of warm, glare-free light through a 180 degree front-facing aperture, so the beam is thrown forward and out to the sides while the area directly behind the fitting stays unlit. Because each disc is cut from a different section of stone, the white marble shows its own veining and tonal shift from pure white through to light grey, so no two look quite the same.

We see the Basic Texture used in hallways and bedrooms where the aim is a soft decorative accent rather than task brightness. Its ambient wash suits contemporary, Scandinavian and spa-style rooms where natural materials and simple forms are the focus, and the small 50mm size makes it easy to run in pairs or a row along a wall or beside a bed. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it to areas away from direct splashing.

The Basic Texture runs on 220-240V 50Hz AC mains and carries an 80 CRI rating for natural-looking colour, with an F energy class. The integrated LED is dimmable on a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer (sold separately), so you can bring it down from full output to a low night-light glow. As the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or replace. We recommend a qualified electrician fits it, wiring the concealed cable back to your wall electrical box.

What size is this wall light?

This is the 50mm version, our most compact marble disc in white. If you need a larger fitting, the same range is also made in an 80mm white marble as well as 150mm and 300mm marble in black.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 5W LED dims on a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full brightness down to a soft night-light glow.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It suits bedrooms and hallways.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built into the fitting, giving 300 lumens through a 180 degree front-facing spread, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. We recommend a qualified electrician wires it to your mains.
