Description
The Axel 60° lens is a 260mm diameter beam control accessory for Axel 100W LED high bay fittings, narrowing the standard beam angle from the high bay's native output down to a 60° spread. The lens is moulded from clear polycarbonate with concentric ridges on the face that refract and redirect light into a tighter, more concentrated beam pattern.
Designed for warehouses, retail spaces, workshops and distribution centres where light needs to be directed onto specific zones rather than spread evenly across a wide area, the 60° lens reduces horizontal spill and increases vertical illumination intensity. This makes it useful for narrow aisles between racking, over packing stations, or in areas where adjacent bays need different light levels. The lens clips onto the front of the Axel high bay fitting without tools, held in place by a friction ring, and can be removed and refitted for maintenance or cleaning without disturbing the main fitting.
The clear polycarbonate transmits light without introducing colour shift or significant lumen loss, while the concentric ridge pattern on the face distributes the beam more evenly than a smooth lens would. At 15mm depth the lens adds minimal projection to the high bay fitting and does not interfere with ceiling clearance in typical warehouse installations. The 5-year guarantee covers material defects and loss of optical clarity under normal indoor use.

Frequently Asked
Which Knightsbridge high bay fittings does this lens fit?
The 60° lens is designed specifically for the Axel 100W LED high bay range. It clips onto the front bezel of the fitting and is held in place by a friction ring. Check the product specification sheet to confirm compatibility with your specific Axel model before ordering.
Does the lens require tools to install?
No. The lens clips into place on the front of the high bay fitting using a friction ring and can be installed or removed by hand. This allows for easy retrofitting to existing Axel installations without needing to isolate power or disturb the main fitting.
How does the 60° beam angle compare to the standard high bay output?
The Axel 100W high bay without a lens typically produces a wider beam spread, often 90-120° depending on the reflector configuration. Adding the 60° lens narrows the beam to a more focused cone, increasing light intensity in the centre of the beam while reducing horizontal spill to adjacent areas.
Can the lens be cleaned?
Yes. The clear polycarbonate surface can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and water. For industrial environments where dust and grime build up, remove the lens from the fitting for easier cleaning, rinse under running water if needed, and allow to air-dry before re-fitting.
