Description

The Aussie Coral is a 62cm cast aluminium ellipse bowl with an openwork design based on the branching structure of subtropical coral reef. The bowl forms a shallow curved vessel approximately 13.5cm high and 26cm deep, with the coral pattern cut entirely through the metal so the structure can be viewed from all angles.

Designed as a centrepiece for console tables, dining tables and sideboards where the openwork casts interesting shadows under downlighting. The ellipse footprint fits narrow console depths without overhang, while the 62cm width provides presence on larger dining tables and kitchen islands. The bowl is cast aluminium with a gold finish applied after casting, giving a warm metallic tone that pairs with brass, amber glass and warm-toned timber furniture.

Each bowl is hand-finished in India, so minor surface variations in the gold coating and small casting marks are typical of the production process. The 1.1kg weight sits stable on most surfaces without needing additional securing. The bowl is decorative only and not food-safe — the openwork design and finish are not intended for contact with liquids or food.
