Description

This set of four resin coasters features an art deco sunburst pattern rendered in black, charcoal grey and cream tones, with a polished gold rim encircling each 102mm disc. The pattern radiates from a black central medallion through alternating geometric segments, creating a stylised floral or sunburst motif typical of 1920s-1930s decorative arts.

Designed for coffee tables, side tables and dining settings, the coasters protect wood, glass and lacquered surfaces from heat marks and moisture rings left by mugs, glasses and small bowls. The felt backing on each coaster prevents scratching on polished wood and adds friction to keep the coaster stable under a glass. The 30mm stacked height allows the set to be stored as a compact column when not in use.

Each coaster is cast in resin, which accepts detailed surface patterns better than ceramic and weighs less than natural stone alternatives. The polished gold rim provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, gold-toned picture frames and warm wood finishes. The black-grey-cream palette works across both traditional and contemporary interiors, bridging art deco revival schemes and minimalist monochrome settings.

Resin coasters are suitable for standard hot drinks like tea and coffee served in ceramic or glass mugs. They should not be used under pans, hot serving dishes or items taken directly from a microwave or hob.

How are the coasters cleaned?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak or put in a dishwasher, as prolonged water exposure can damage the resin and loosen the felt backing.

No. All four coasters in the set carry the same sunburst pattern and are produced from the same mould, ensuring uniform appearance across the set.

Will the gold rim scratch or tarnish?
