The Armadillo is a 23cm tall ceramic vase finished in a reactive grey-blue glaze that pools darker in the recesses of its textured surface. The exterior is moulded with overlapping scale-like segments that run vertically down the body, creating a pattern similar to armadillo plating. The glaze varies between pale grey-blue and deeper teal-blue depending on how it settled during firing, giving each vase a slightly different tonal distribution.

Designed to hold both fresh and dried stems, the vase sits on side tables, consoles and mantelpieces where its 19cm diameter footprint provides stability without dominating the surface area. The opening at the top measures approximately 14cm across, wide enough to accommodate arrangements of multiple stems or a single statement branch. The ceramic is water-safe and glazed on the interior, so it can hold fresh flowers without needing a liner.

The reactive glaze means no two Armadillo vases are identical — some show more blue pooling in the scale recesses, others lean greyer with amber flecking where the glaze breaks over the raised edges.
