Description

The Aquaria is a single-pendant LED light with a faceted polyhedral glass shade suspended from a polished chrome canopy on a chain. The glass contains decorative air bubbles trapped within the material during manufacture, which catch and scatter light when the integrated 4W LED is switched on. The LED sits inside the shade and casts 450 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the transparent glass.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and bedside positions where a compact pendant provides focused downlight and decorative interest. The chain allows adjustment between 30cm and 140cm drop during fitting, making it adaptable to ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m. The 12cm diameter glass shade sits well in pairs spaced 60-80cm apart over an island, or as a solo pendant above a side table or in a hallway.

The faceted geometry of the glass shade creates multiple reflective surfaces that change appearance depending on viewing angle and ambient light. The polished chrome canopy and chain match contemporary kitchen fixtures and bathroom fittings finished in chrome, while the air-bubble detailing inside the glass gives each shade slight variation in bubble density and placement. The IP20 rating makes this suitable for dry indoor areas only.

Is the Aquaria dimmable?

The integrated 4W LED is not dimmable. The light output is fixed at 450 lumens at 3000K warm white. If dimming is required, consider pairing with a smart switch that offers programmable on/off control instead.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Aquaria is suitable for dry indoor areas only and should not be installed in bathrooms or other locations where moisture is present.

What drop height works best over a kitchen island?

For a kitchen island or breakfast bar, a drop of 70-90cm from ceiling to the base of the shade typically positions the light at the right height to illuminate the worktop without obstructing sightlines. The chain can be adjusted during installation to suit your specific ceiling height.

Are the air bubbles the same in every shade?

No. The air bubbles are created during the glass-blowing process and vary slightly in density and placement between individual shades. This is a characteristic of the manufacturing method, not a defect.
