Description

The Aperta combined power and bus separator unit is a DIN rail-mounted component for single-way door entry systems, providing regulated 24VDC power at 800mA output and bus isolation in a single compact module. The unit accepts 110-240V AC mains input and regulates it to the 24VDC supply required by Aperta monitor and door station components.

Designed for installation in consumer units or distribution boards as part of a residential or commercial door entry system, the unit mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail and occupies approximately 90mm of rail width. The bus separator function isolates the monitor circuit from the door station circuit to prevent interference and voltage drop over longer cable runs, which can cause audio distortion or video signal degradation in systems with extended distances between components.

The housing measures 90mm wide by 60mm high by 105mm deep and weighs 270g unboxed. A power LED on the front panel confirms mains input and correct operation. Only one power supply is required per single-way system regardless of the number of monitors or door stations fitted, as long as the total current draw remains within the 800mA output rating.

How many power supplies does a single-way system need?

One power supply unit is sufficient for a complete single-way system regardless of how many monitors or door stations are connected, provided the combined current draw does not exceed 800mA. If multiple monitors or additional accessories push the current requirement above this threshold, a second unit may be needed.

What is the bus separator function for?

The bus separator isolates the monitor circuit from the door station circuit. This prevents voltage drop and signal interference over longer cable runs, which can otherwise cause poor audio quality or degraded video in systems where the distance between components exceeds 10-15 metres.

What mains input voltage does it accept?

The unit accepts 110-240V AC mains input and regulates this to 24VDC output. It is compatible with UK, European and other regional mains supplies within this voltage range.

How is it mounted?
