Description

The Aperta is a colour video door entry kit pairing a surface-mount outdoor camera station with a 7" hands-free TFT monitor for residential and small commercial installations. The outdoor station houses a wide-angle camera, integrated speaker and microphone behind a brushed stainless steel faceplate with a single call button, rated IP55 for outdoor weatherproofing. The indoor monitor displays live colour video when the call button is pressed, allowing the user to see and speak to the caller before releasing the door lock.

Designed for single-entry properties including houses, small apartment buildings and offices, the kit uses a simple 2-core cable run between the outdoor station and the indoor monitor, with a single included power supply supporting the entire system. The system can be expanded to support up to 5 devices in total (additional monitors or outdoor stations) without needing extra power supplies or complex wiring, making it suitable for properties where multiple entry points or viewing stations are needed.

The 7" TFT monitor mounts to an interior wall near the entry door and operates hands-free, meaning the user does not need to lift a handset to speak — voice communication happens through the monitor's built-in speaker and microphone. The outdoor station's stainless steel faceplate resists corrosion and fingerprints, while the IP55 rating protects the camera and electronics from rain and dust ingress when surface-mounted on an exterior wall or gate post.

The system uses a simple 2-core cable run. Cable type and maximum run length are detailed in the product manual. The single power supply included in the kit powers both the outdoor station and the indoor monitor.

Can I add more monitors or outdoor stations?

Yes. The included power supply supports up to 5 devices in total (monitors and outdoor stations combined) without needing additional power supplies. Extra monitors and outdoor stations are sold separately.

Is the outdoor station weatherproof?

The outdoor camera station is rated IP55, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is designed for surface mounting on exterior walls, porch surrounds and gate posts exposed to rain.

Does the monitor need to be wall-mounted?

Yes. The 7" TFT monitor is designed for wall mounting near the entry door. Mounting brackets and fixings are included in the kit. The monitor cannot be used as a portable handheld unit.
