Description

The Aperta colour video door entry kit pairs a surface-mounted IP55-rated outdoor camera station with a 7" TFT hands-free monitor, providing two-way audio and visual verification of visitors before unlocking. The outdoor station features a wide-angle camera lens, integrated speaker and microphone, and a metal call button, all housed in a weather-resistant brushed stainless steel faceplate with a black outer frame.

Designed for residential front doors, side gates and ground-floor flat entrances, the kit runs on a simple 2-core cable between the outdoor station and indoor monitor, with a single 24V power supply (included) supporting both units. The system can be expanded to support up to five devices in total (additional monitors or outdoor stations sold separately), making it suitable for multi-occupancy properties or homes with multiple entry points. The monitor mounts to an internal wall via a rear bracket and requires mains power for the 24V transformer.

The 7" colour TFT screen provides a high-resolution image of visitors in daylight and low-light conditions, with the outdoor camera automatically adjusting exposure. The hands-free monitor allows conversation without lifting a handset, and four touch-sensitive buttons on the front panel control door unlock, call transfer, memory and hang-up functions. The outdoor station carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed UK door canopies and recessed porches.

What wiring is required between the outdoor station and monitor?

The system uses a simple 2-core cable run between the outdoor camera station and the indoor monitor. A single 24V power supply (included in the kit) powers both units. The outdoor station does not require a separate mains connection, only the cable link to the indoor monitor.

Can the system be expanded to multiple monitors or doors?

Yes. The included power supply supports up to five devices in total, in any combination of monitors and outdoor stations. Additional monitors and outdoor stations are sold separately and can be wired into the same system for multi-room monitoring or multiple entry points.

Is the outdoor station weatherproof?

The outdoor station carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed door canopies, recessed porches and covered side entrances where rain and moisture are present but the unit is not directly flooded.

Does the monitor need to be wall-mounted or can it be placed on a surface?

The monitor is designed for wall mounting via a rear bracket (included). It is not designed to stand freely on a table or shelf, as the touchscreen controls and speaker orientation are optimised for vertical wall installation.
