Description

We stock the Antic as a vertical wall light in brushed gold with opal glass. Two ribbed opal cylinders sit above and below a central brushed gold sphere on a round backplate, and each cylinder takes one G9 bulb (sold separately) so the light washes both upwards and downwards along the wall.

We like it for hallways and bedroom accent walls where it gives an ambient glow across the surface rather than a directed task beam. The upright shape suits narrower spots such as corridor runs or flanking a doorway, where a wider wall light would project too far into the room.

The ribbed opal glass diffuses the two G9 lamps and draws soft vertical lines up the wall, while the brushed gold metal keeps reflections gentle and pairs well with brass, copper and warm wood tones. It draws 28W in total, runs on 220-240V mains and is rated IP20, so keep it to dry interior walls away from direct water. It is not dimmable.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

It takes two G9 bulbs, one in each opal glass cylinder. The bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room.

Is it dimmable?

No, the Antic is not dimmable. If you want to vary the level you would need to switch it on a separate dimming circuit with dimmable G9 bulbs, but we would not rely on that for a smooth result.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

How does it light the wall?

The two cylinders point up and down, so it throws light both above and below the fitting for an ambient wash across the wall rather than a single directed beam.
