Description

This serving platter is made from stoneware under a black glaze. A loose ring of flowers, sprigs and leaves is drawn around its edge, and the centre is left clear. The flowers sit in soft, lighter tones against the black, with fine lines picking out petals and veins, and slender sprays of stems and buds fill the gaps between them. It is 26cm long, 25cm wide and 3.5cm tall, with a softly uneven round outline and a low rim, which puts it between a dinner plate and a larger serving platter in size. At 0.64KG it is easy to lift and pass across the table.

Because it is approved for food, it works as well for serving as it does for eating from.
