Description

The Aetheron is a 300mm semi-flush ceiling light with three white metal arms extending from a central circular canopy, each arm terminating in a cylindrical white sleeve that houses an E27 bulb fitting inside a frosted opal glass globe. The globes diffuse the light in all directions, providing ambient rather than directional illumination suitable for bedrooms, hallways and kitchens with ceiling heights below 2.4m.

The arms are positioned at different lengths, creating a stepped arrangement that staggers the three globes across three vertical levels. This breaks up the visual mass of the cluster and gives the fitting more architectural interest than a flat three-light arrangement. The white metal finish is matt-painted rather than gloss, reducing reflections under daylight and pairing cleanly with white or light-painted ceilings where a flush or semi-flush fitting needs to blend in rather than stand out.

Each E27 fitting accepts bulbs up to 60W (bulbs sold separately), and the light is dimmable when paired with compatible E27 LED dimmable bulbs and an appropriate dimmer switch. The canopy measures 300mm diameter and sits approximately 180mm below the ceiling once installed, making it suitable for rooms where a full pendant drop would be too low but a completely flat flush fitting would lack presence. The IP20 rating restricts use to indoor dry locations only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.

Is the Aetheron dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What bulbs does it take?

Three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 6-10W warm-white LED globes at 2700K-3000K to match the frosted glass diffuser.

How far does it project from the ceiling?

Approximately 180mm from ceiling to the bottom of the lowest globe. This makes it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards where a full pendant would hang too low.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means it is suitable for indoor dry locations only. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum for zones 1 and 2, and IP65 for zone 0.
