Description

Sixteen hand blown glass baubles, teal and clear mixed together, presented in a glass jar 13cm tall and 11cm wide. The sixteen run through several forms, round, teardrop and fluted, every one shaped by hand, so the run of the glass is its own from one to the next. The jar is blown from the same recycled glass and its wall is hammered, which breaks the light across it. Every bauble hangs from a pale pink cotton velvet tie looped through the metal cap at its crown.

Sixteen small baubles will fill out the gaps on a tree that is already dressed, or dress a wreath, a garland or a mantel on their own. The jar holds all sixteen, which keeps them together between one Christmas and the next, and it stands as a storage jar in its own right once the baubles are out of it. The jar is 13cm tall and 11cm wide.

Both the baubles and the jar are blown from recycled glass by hand. Each bauble is shaped on its own, so its texture and the weight of its colour differ across the sixteen. The ties are green cotton velvet and each one is added by hand.
