Description

Our Adar pendant light pairs a rounded grey glass shade with a fine raised pattern that reads like rows of feathers. Raised ribs divide the shade into curved panels, and each panel is filled with closely set diagonal ridges that meet along its centre, so the surface stays interesting even when the bulb is unlit. The shade is 22cm across and 20cm tall, a compact size that works alone or in a group, and it weighs 1.3KG. By make-up it is 85% glass, 10% polyvinyl chloride and 5% iron.

With 250cm of black cable, it can hang low over a dining table or kitchen island, or higher in a hallway, landing or bedroom. One works well above a bedside table or a favourite reading chair, while several hung at staggered heights make a loose cluster over a table. Ribbed glass scatters a bulb's light rather than showing it bare, and the grey tone keeps the look calm, so it sits comfortably in modern and traditional rooms alike.
