Description

The Adamas pendant light pairs an amber glass shade with a matt black stem and canopy. The glass has a faceted honeycomb pattern across its upper half and turns smooth and clear across the lower half, so it reads as two textures in one warm colour. Inside is an integrated LED, which means there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 11W and gives 746 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so skin tones, food and fabrics look natural under it. The shade is 33cm tall and 23.6cm across, a generous size for a single pendant.

We see it first over a dining table, where the amber glass brings a warm glow of colour to the centre of the room, and it works just as well as the main light in a living room or over a reading corner. With a drop of up to 200cm, it can hang low over a table or sit higher where people walk beneath it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The warm amber tone sits comfortably with oak, walnut, linen and darker painted walls, and the matt black fittings keep the look crisp.

The pendant runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician. Its matt black canopy is 6.5cm across and 16.7cm tall, slim enough to sit discreetly on the ceiling.
