This Knightsbridge 4-gang grid faceplate is a matt black screwless cover plate designed to sit over a 4-gang grid frame (GDS002F, sold separately) holding individual grid modules for switches, sockets, dimmers or data connections. The plate measures 148mm wide by 88mm tall with a 3.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, providing a flat, screw-free finish over modular grid installations.

Grid systems allow individual modules to be chosen and configured before the faceplate is fitted, making them useful in offices, workshops and home installations where specific switch, socket or AV combinations are needed in a single unit. The screwless faceplate clips onto the grid frame rather than using visible screws, keeping the wall finish clean and minimising fixing points that collect dust or stand proud of the plate.

The matt black finish is applied to premium-grade steel, providing a non-reflective surface that pairs with contemporary, industrial and matt-black hardware schemes. The plate carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and is backed by a 25-year warranty. It coordinates with Knightsbridge's screwless switches and sockets range, allowing matched finishes across an entire installation.

What grid frame is required?

This faceplate requires one GDS002F 4-gang grid frame (sold separately) which holds the individual grid modules before the screwless cover plate clips on top. The grid frame is fixed to the back box first, then modules are clicked into the frame, then the faceplate clips over the entire assembly.

Can I use this with standard switches and sockets?

No. This faceplate is designed exclusively for Knightsbridge's modular grid system. Standard switches and sockets use their own faceplates and cannot be combined with grid components.

What modules fit inside a 4-gang grid?

Knightsbridge grid modules include switches (1-way, 2-way, intermediate), dimmers, 13A sockets, USB chargers, phone/data ports, satellite/TV coax outlets and blanks. Four single-width modules or combinations of single and double-width modules can be fitted into the GDS002F frame before this faceplate is applied.

Is the faceplate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The screwless faceplate clips onto the grid frame and can be removed without disturbing the wiring, allowing walls to be painted or decorated around the unit. The plate re-clips onto the frame once decorating is complete.
