Description

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a white thermoset resin cover plate designed to hold three curved edge grid modules (sold separately). The faceplate works exclusively with the Knightsbridge Curved Edge Grid system, pairing with one CUG2F frame (sold separately) to create a customisable switch or socket configuration. The curved edge profile softens the transition from wall to faceplate, giving a less angular finish than standard flat plates.

Grid systems suit installations where standard pre-configured switches and sockets do not offer the exact combination needed — hospitality fit-outs, care homes, AV control walls, and residential installations requiring specific switch/socket/dimmer configurations in a single gang. The 3-gang width accommodates up to three grid modules in one 146mm-wide aperture, reducing the number of separate faceplates needed on a wall and creating a cleaner run of controls.

The thermoset resin construction is harder and more scratch-resistant than standard thermoplastic, and carries anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, reducing bacterial growth on the surface. The white finish pairs with the wider Knightsbridge Curved Edge range. Screw cap covers are included to hide fixing screws once installed, and the 7mm projection from wall keeps the faceplate low-profile. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only.

What grid modules does this faceplate hold?

The faceplate holds three Knightsbridge Curved Edge grid modules. Grid modules are sold separately and include switches, sockets, dimmers, USB ports, data outlets, and blank plates. You also need one CUG2F frame (sold separately) to mount behind this faceplate.

Is the CUG2F frame included?

No. The CUG2F frame is sold separately. One frame is required per faceplate to provide the mounting structure for the grid modules.

Can this be used with standard grid modules?

No. This faceplate is designed exclusively for the Knightsbridge Curved Edge Grid system. It will not accept standard flat-edge grid modules or non-Knightsbridge grid components.

What does the anti-microbial rating mean?

The thermoset resin is treated with an anti-microbial additive that reduces bacterial growth on the surface, tested to ISO 22196:2011. This makes the faceplate suitable for healthcare, hospitality and high-touch environments where infection control matters.
