Description

This 14" drum lampshade is constructed from soft grey viscose fabric with a silver metallic lining and hand-rolled top and bottom edges. The shade measures 35.5cm in diameter and 26cm in height, fitting table lamps and floor lamps with either E14 or E27 bulb fittings via a removable plastic adapter ring included with the shade.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables and floor lamp bases where a mid-height shade is needed, the 14" size suits lamp bases between 30-45cm tall for balanced proportions. The grey outer fabric diffuses light softly through the sides while the silver metallic lining reflects light downwards and upwards, increasing brightness without additional wattage. The hand-rolled edges eliminate visible seam stitching and give the shade a cleaner profile when viewed from the side.

The viscose fabric has a low-sheen surface that absorbs rather than reflects ambient daylight, preventing the shade from looking shiny or glazed in bright rooms. The silver lining shows through slightly at the top and bottom apertures when the lamp is off, creating a subtle metallic accent. At 0.45kg the shade is light enough to sit securely on most table lamp harps and floor lamp finials without requiring additional support.
