Description

The Knightsbridge 1-gang modular faceplate accepts a single 25x50mm euro module insert behind an 86x86mm white ABS plate. The faceplate provides the mounting frame for euro modules carrying HDMI, USB, coaxial TV, Cat5e/Cat6 data, or telephone connections, allowing custom AV and data installations to be built from individual insert components rather than fixed multiport plates.

Designed for living rooms, home offices and commercial installations where specific port configurations are needed, the faceplate fits standard UK single-gang back boxes with a minimum 25mm depth. Euro module inserts (sold separately) clip into the aperture from the front once the faceplate is screwed to the back box, and can be swapped or reconfigured without rewiring the back box if connectivity requirements change.

The white ABS construction gives a 12mm projection from the wall once fitted, matching the footprint of standard UK light switches and power sockets. The smooth white finish pairs with white or off-white wall colours in residential and office interiors. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only — this faceplate is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor use, or locations with moisture exposure.

The faceplate accepts any standard 25x50mm euro module insert, including HDMI, USB, Cat5e/Cat6 data, coaxial TV, 3.5mm jack, and telephone modules. Inserts are sold separately and clip into the aperture from the front once the faceplate is mounted.

What back box depth is required?

A standard UK single-gang back box with a minimum 25mm depth is required. The faceplate screws directly to the back box lugs, and the euro module inserts clip into the faceplate aperture afterwards.

Can the module insert be changed after installation?

Yes. Euro modules clip into the faceplate from the front and can be removed and swapped without unscrewing the faceplate or disturbing the back box wiring, allowing configurations to be updated as connectivity needs change.

Is this suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means this faceplate is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor use, or locations with moisture exposure.
