Description

The Knightsbridge 1-gang blanking plate covers unused electrical back boxes behind a matt white screwless faceplate. The plate measures 87.5mm square with a 4.3mm projection from the wall once fitted, providing a low-profile finish that sits flush with adjacent sockets or switches in the same range.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where back boxes have been installed but are no longer required, or where future expansion may need the back box retained but covered in the interim. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, meaning there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The built-in gasket between the plate and the wall surface provides a degree of dust ingress protection to IP20 standard.

The premium-grade steel construction includes an earth terminal on the rear of the plate, allowing it to be safely bonded to the earth circuit if required by the installation. The matt white finish provides a neutral colour that pairs with standard white decorator switches and sockets, and the low-sheen surface minimises reflections under artificial lighting. Knightsbridge backs this plate with a 25-year warranty.
