Description

The Zoom is a 60mm diameter LED recessed downlight with an integrated 6W LED module delivering 4000K cool white light at CRI 90. Cast aluminium construction with a matte black powder-coated finish houses a deep-set anti-glare lens that directs light downward while minimising direct sightlines to the LED chip. The IP65 rating provides full dust-sealing and protection against low-pressure water jets, making the Zoom suitable for bathroom zones, shower cubicles, covered outdoor soffits and kitchen worktop areas.

Designed for recessed installation into ceiling voids with minimum 60mm clearance above the plasterboard, the Zoom uses spring retention clips to hold the fitting flush against the ceiling surface once the cut-out is made. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light that sits between warm ambient lighting and daylight-equivalent task lighting, making it suitable for bathroom mirrors, kitchen prep areas, laundry rooms and utility spaces where accurate colour perception matters. The CRI 90 rating ensures skin tones, food and textiles appear as they would under natural daylight.

The black powder-coated finish provides a contemporary contrast against white or light-toned ceilings and pairs well with matt black tapware, cabinet handles and door furniture in modern interiors. The 60mm height and diameter keep the visible aperture minimal, so multiple Zoom downlights can be installed at 800-1200mm centres without dominating the ceiling plane. Dimming compatibility depends on the specific LED dimmer module used — confirm compatibility with your chosen dimmer before pairing to avoid flicker or limited range.

Frequently Asked

Can this be used in bathroom shower zones?

Yes. The IP65 rating provides full protection against moisture ingress from shower spray and steam. Check local building regulations for specific zone requirements, but IP65 is generally acceptable for zones 1 and 2 in UK bathrooms.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum 60mm clearance above the plasterboard is required to accommodate the downlight body and heatsink. The fitting is held in place by spring clips that grip the back of the ceiling surface.

Is this compatible with dimmer switches?

The integrated LED is rated as dimmable, but performance depends on the specific dimmer module used. Trailing-edge LED dimmers typically provide smoother dimming with less flicker than leading-edge models. Confirm compatibility with your chosen dimmer before installation to avoid reduced dimming range or audible buzzing.

What is the lumen output?

Lumen output is not specified in the provided data. Contact us for the exact lumen rating if you need to calculate lux levels for a specific application.
