Description

Our Yarvelle Glass Pendant Light is a teardrop of clear glass on a fine cable, with a slim chrome stem running down inside the shade to hold the bulb. The structure is iron with a chrome finish, and because the glass is clear, the polished stem and the glow of the bulb read straight through it. The fitting is 20cm tall and 12cm across, with a drop of 170cm. It takes a G4 bulb and gives a warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 80+, a sound everyday level for showing colours fairly. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on a plain on and off switch rather than a dimmer.

At this size it works best where you want a small, clear point of light rather than a broad wash across a room. Hung low beside the bed, it frees the bedside table for books and a glass of water; over a hallway console or a desk it marks the spot without crowding the space.
