This is our Yarvelle pendant light, a linear fitting of 24 clear glass teardrop shades. Each shade hangs on its own cable, with a slim chrome stem running down inside the glass and a small lamp at its tip, so the light sits right in the curve of every drop. It takes 24 G4 lamps of up to 10W each and gives a warm white light at 2700K, with a colour rendering of CRI 80+ so food, fabrics and skin tones look natural under it. The fitting is 91cm wide and 31cm deep, with an overall drop of 170cm.

Its long, linear shape makes it a natural choice over a dining table, where the shades can run the length of the table and bring a warm glow to the meal. It suits a living room, an open plan space or a stairwell with a high ceiling just as well, anywhere the drop has room to hang.
