Description
Our ThePalm LED chandelier gathers twelve slender white arms around a fluted central stem, each one sweeping out in a soft curve and rising to a glowing tip. The light comes from integrated LEDs, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The frame is iron in a white finish, and the tips are acrylic and glow evenly along their length. Together the twelve lights draw 22.9W and give 1889lm of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 80+. It is 56cm tall and 75cm across, with a drop of 250cm.
At 75cm across, it has the presence to hang over a dining table, light the middle of a living room or give a generous hallway a focal point. The 250cm drop suits rooms with height to spare, such as a stairwell or a double-height hall. Warm 2700K light makes it a good choice for rooms you use in the evening, and the white finish sits quietly against pale walls while the curving arms keep the eye interested. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It is not dimmable, so plan for it on an ordinary switch rather than a dimmer circuit.
The design is by Cristian Cubiñá, who gave the arms a rounded, tubular profile that keeps the whole fitting soft in outline. Each arm is a smooth iron tube finished in white and capped with an acrylic tip, and all twelve gather into the fluted central stem that hangs from the ceiling. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, centre it over a round or oval dining table so the arms read evenly from every seat, and keep the pieces around it simple so the curves have room to breathe.
