Description

Our TheLight LED chandelier is a ring of slim white arms branching out from a central cylinder, each arm holding upright rods that glow along their length. It comes in two versions, with 18 lights or with 30 lights, both in white. The 18-light chandelier is 102cm across and the 30-light chandelier is 109cm across; both are 70cm tall and have a drop of 250cm. The light comes from integrated LEDs, so there are no bulbs to buy or change, and it gives a warm 2700K white with a colour rendering index of 80 or more, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural. It is not dimmable, so it suits a room where you want its full glow whenever it is on.

At more than a metre across, it is a chandelier for a generous room: above a long dining table, in a tall hallway or stairwell, or at the centre of a living room with a high ceiling. The 30-light version gives a fuller crown of light for the largest rooms, while the 18-light version suits a space that is large but not vast. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It is a mains fitting, for a qualified electrician to install.

The chandelier is made from iron and acrylic, with a white finish that keeps the whole frame crisp and pale, and it carries energy class E. TheLight was designed by Cristian Cubiñá. For styling, hang it centred over the table or the middle of the room with clear space around the arms, and pair it with a pale ceiling and darker walls, where the white frame and the glowing rods stand out clearly.
