Description
This is the 12 light TheLight chandelier in white: a white iron frame with arms reaching out in tiers from a slim central column, each one carrying an upright rod that glows at both ends. The light comes from integrated LEDs softened by acrylic, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It gives a warm white light at 2700K, the cosy tone most of us like, and a colour rendering of CRI 80+, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural beneath it. The chandelier is 60cm tall and 67.5cm across, with a drop of 250cm.
It is a chandelier for rooms where you want the light fitting to be the centre of attention: over a dining table, in a double height hallway or stairwell, or in the middle of a generous living room. At 67.5cm across it needs some space around it, and the 250cm drop means it is worth checking your ceiling height and where you want it to hang. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It is not dimmable, so it works from an ordinary switch rather than a dimmer, which makes it a straightforward choice for a main ceiling light.
The frame is iron with a white finish and the light shines through acrylic, so the whole fitting reads as one clean, pale form whether it is lit or not. Designed by Cristian Cubiñá, it has a branching layout drawn in straight lines, with the light standing upright rather than hanging down. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, we like it against warm stone, plaster or timber, where the white frame keeps things light and the 2700K glow sits comfortably with natural materials; in a plainer room, pair it with simple furniture and let the chandelier carry the look.
