The Ultimate Checkerboard is a reversible duvet cover set printed with two scales of oblong checkerboard on the same cloth. One face carries a mini check, the other a maxi check, so the set gives you two looks from a single purchase and you choose which one faces up when you make the bed. The cloth is a cotton blend, 52% polyester and 48% cotton, and the print here is a soft olive green tea against a paler ground. It comes in single, double, king and super king, so there is a size for a compact spare room through to a large master bed.

The checkerboard scale reads differently across the range of sizes, which is worth thinking about when you order: the maxi check makes more of a feature on a king or super king, where there is room for the larger squares to spread across the bed.
