Description

The STV203 is a 3-way satellite F splitter that divides one satellite feed into three separate outputs, operating across the 5-2450MHz frequency range. The unit features F-type threaded connectors on all four ports (one input, three outputs) and incorporates power pass functionality on every output, allowing voltage to pass through to LNBs on all connected receivers simultaneously.

Designed for multi-receiver satellite installations in homes, flats, caravans and commercial properties, the STV203 allows three satellite receivers or set-top boxes to operate from a single dish feed without requiring additional cabling runs. The zinc die-cast housing measures approximately 60mm x 40mm and mounts to walls or joists using the two flanged mounting tabs, each with a 6mm hole. The compact footprint suits installation behind wall plates or within distribution cabinets.

The 5-2450MHz bandwidth covers both standard satellite TV frequencies and the extended range used by modern Sky Q and Freesat systems. Power pass on all outputs means the splitter does not block the DC voltage that receivers send back up the coax to power the LNB at the dish, making it compatible with most domestic satellite setups. The unit carries CE certification under G687 659D and uses a zinc alloy body for shielding and durability.

Frequently Asked

Does this splitter work with Sky Q systems?

Yes. The 5-2450MHz frequency range covers the extended bandwidth used by Sky Q and other modern satellite systems. The power pass on all outputs allows voltage to reach the LNB from any connected receiver.

Will I lose signal strength when splitting to three outputs?

Some signal loss is inherent in any passive splitter. The STV203 divides the input signal across three outputs, which reduces the level at each receiver compared to a direct connection. For installations where receivers are close to the dish and signal strength is already good, this is rarely an issue. In marginal signal areas, amplification may be needed.

Can I use this to split terrestrial TV aerial signals?

The STV203 is designed for satellite installations and uses F-type connectors rather than the coax plugs typical of terrestrial aerial systems. While the frequency range technically covers terrestrial TV bands, the connector type makes it impractical for standard aerial distribution.

How is the splitter mounted?

Two flanged mounting tabs with 6mm holes allow the unit to be screwed to a wall, joist or the back of a distribution cabinet. The compact size also allows it to be tucked behind wall plates or inside joinery where space is limited.
