Seaweed Floral Polyester Cushion - Indigo

This is an outdoor cushion in the Seaweed range, printed with a flowing floral and foliage pattern across an indigo ground. The design moves in long, curling stems, with orange daisy-like flowers, small tulip buds and dotted detail worked into deep blues, greens and warm gold. The whole thing is finished with a piped trim in a contrasting orange that runs right around the seam, which you can see clearly on the side view where the cushion is a plump 50 x 50cm square. It is made from 100% polyester and closes with a zip.

Because it is treated for outdoor use, this cushion is meant for the garden, the patio or a covered bench rather than being confined indoors. It suits a slatted timber setting and metal-framed garden seating, and it sits happily alongside the other colourways in the same range, which run from lighter greens and creams to a darker leaf green. Stacked or grouped, they read as a set while each carries its own ground colour. Indoors it works just as well on a reading chair or a window seat, so it need not stay outside once the weather turns.

The fabric is a soft-touch polyester, which means it holds print colour well and shrugs off the odd shower rather than soaking it up. The supplier describes it as water resistant, so it copes with changing weather across the seasons, and the zip closure means the cover comes off when you want to freshen it. The piped edge gives the cushion a defined, tailored shape and helps the corners hold their form. If you like this print, the Seaweed range offers coordinating cushions in other grounds to build a mixed but matching group.
