Description

The QTX LED Derby Par Can Light set mounts two RGBW PAR cans and two LED Derby effect units onto a single T-bar, powered from one IEC mains input and supported on a telescopic tripod stand. The four fixtures draw a combined 60W and can be controlled via DMX512, the included infrared remote handset, or internal auto and sound-activated programs selected from the control panel on the T-bar.

Designed for mobile DJs, party venues, function rooms and performers who need a portable lighting rig that packs down for transport, the set ships with the tripod stand and all necessary hardware. The stand adjusts from 0.9m to 1.8m height, allowing the light bar to be raised above head height in typical rooms or lowered for smaller spaces. Each of the four fixtures can be angled independently on the T-bar to direct colour washes and effects across different areas of the room.

The two RGBW PAR cans produce broad colour washes by mixing red, green, blue and white LEDs, while the two Derby units project rotating multi-colour beam effects. The combination gives both static uplighting and moving effects from a single power connection. DMX control allows the rig to be integrated into larger lighting setups via standard XLR in/out connections. When used standalone, the sound-activated mode triggers the effects in time with music detected by the onboard microphone.

Can this be controlled without DMX?

Yes. The set includes an infrared remote handset and has built-in auto and sound-activated programs selectable from the control panel on the T-bar. DMX is optional for integration with larger lighting setups.

What power connection does it use?

The T-bar has a single IEC mains input (standard kettle lead socket) rated for 220-240Vac. All four fixtures are powered from this one connection, so only one mains socket is needed.

How portable is the set?

The tripod stand collapses to 890mm length and weighs 2.36kg. The T-bar with fixtures weighs 3.1kg and measures 720 x 190 x 180mm. The entire set fits in a typical car boot for mobile DJ or event work.

What height can the lights reach?

The tripod extends from 0.9m to 1.8m, allowing the T-bar to be set just above head height in standard rooms or lowered for smaller spaces and lower ceilings.
