The Malisa cushion cover is a 50x50cm square in soft cotton velvet, printed with a bright, detailed paisley in the Indian tradition. Curling plants, stylised flowers and teardrop paisleys in pink, gold-green and deep blue sit across a deep pomegranate-red ground, so the pattern reads as busy and warm rather than sparse. Every edge is finished with a run of contrasting blue pompoms, and there is a hidden zip along one side. Because the pile is cotton velvet, it has that short, dense nap that catches the light and gives the colour real depth as you move past it.
