Description

The LumiLife 24W recessed LED circular downlight features a switchable colour temperature control, allowing selection between 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white, and 6500K daylight via a switch on the driver unit. The integrated LED delivers 2,200 lumens at 70 lumens per watt from a slim circular recessed panel that sits flush with the ceiling surface.

Designed for commercial offices, retail spaces, hospitality areas and residential rooms where lighting requirements change depending on time of day or task, the CCT switching capability removes the need to specify a single fixed colour temperature at installation. The 120° beam angle provides wide, even coverage across typical 3-4m ceiling heights without creating hard shadows or hotspots in the centre of the room. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments (Zone 3 bathrooms only, not suitable for shower enclosures or wet rooms).

The circular panel measures approximately 300mm diameter with a cut-out requirement that fits standard ceiling voids of 50mm depth or greater. The recessed design integrates into plasterboard, suspended tile and modular ceiling systems, leaving only the white trim ring visible once installed. Operating on 240V AC mains with a power factor above 0.9, the fitting draws 24W continuously regardless of which colour temperature is selected. The CRI of 80+ maintains accurate colour rendering for product displays, food presentation and interior spaces where true-to-life colour matters.

The driver unit is supplied as part of the fitting and includes the CCT selector switch accessible during installation. Once the colour temperature is set and the ceiling closed, the selected temperature remains fixed until the fitting is accessed again. Non-dimmable.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A switch on the driver unit allows selection between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K. The switch is accessible during installation but requires ceiling access to change once the fitting is installed. The selected temperature remains fixed until manually changed.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum void depth of 50mm is needed to accommodate the driver unit and allow adequate ventilation around the LED panel. The fitting is designed for recessed installation into plasterboard, suspended tile or modular ceiling systems.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts use to Zone 3 bathroom areas only (more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower basin). It is not suitable for installation directly above baths, showers or in wet rooms where moisture exposure is higher.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The output remains constant at 2,200 lumens regardless of which colour temperature is selected.
