The Lulah cushion is a 45 x 45cm square in a blend of 85% polyester and 15% linen, printed with a small repeating block floral in blue on a natural, oatmeal ground. The motif is a stylised leaf-and-bud shape set out in neat rows, the sort of pattern that reads as busy up close and as gentle texture from across the room. A gathered ruffle runs the full way round the edge, in the same printed cloth, which gives the cushion its softer, cottage-style outline rather than a crisp knife edge.

This is a working scatter cushion for a sofa, a reading chair or the head of a bed. The blue-on-natural palette sits happily with plain linen upholstery, painted wood and warm neutral walls, and it mixes well with other small prints and checks if you like to layer. At 45 x 45cm it is a standard square, so a spare cover or an off-the-shelf pad in the same size will fit it, and it holds its shape well against the arm of a chair without swamping a smaller seat.
