The Kalvenne is an LED glass pendant light in black: a slim column of clear ribbed glass held in a fine black iron frame. It comes in two sizes, 25cm and 50cm. The 25cm size is 26cm tall and 13.5cm across, and the 50cm size is 51cm tall and 13.5cm across, and both hang on a 180cm drop. Each has a single 10W integrated LED giving 920 lumens of warm 2700K light, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The ribs in the glass soften that light and let it glow all the way round the shade.

We like it wherever a soft, even glow suits the room. Hung beside a sofa in the living room, the 50cm size gives a tall line of light, while the 25cm size works at a lower height alongside it. In a stairwell, several pendants hung at different heights make a column of light that follows the stair. With a CRI of 90+, colours and skin tones look natural under it, which matters where you sit and talk. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms such as living rooms and stairwells.
