Description
The Ivelline is an LED wall light with a reading light built into it: a slim cylindrical head on a short swivel arm that reaches out from a neat round rosette on the wall. The head pivots on its arm, so you can point the light straight down onto a page or angle it away across the wall. Its integrated LED gives 260 lumens from 3W at a colour temperature of 3000K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of 80+, and because the LED is built in there is no bulb to buy or change. The frame is iron, and you can choose from two finishes, white or satin nickel.
It is made for the bedside. Fitted to the wall or panelling behind a headboard, it puts a directed pool of light on your book without lighting the whole room, which makes it a kind choice if you read late while someone else sleeps. It works just as well in a guest bedroom or beside an armchair in a quiet reading corner. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It is not dimmable, so it is not one for a dimmer switch.
The body is iron and the light source is an integrated LED; it is a Class III fitting with an energy class of F. In the white version, a white head sits on a satin nickel swivel arm, a crisp pairing that looks clean against painted walls and warm timber panelling alike. It is for a qualified electrician to install. As a styling note, we like a matching pair, one either side of a double bed and set at the same height, so each of you has your own light to read by.
