The Hesmorne is a floor lamp with a clean, architectural line: a round silver base, a slim upright stem and an articulated arm with neat silver joints that carries a single fabric drum shade. The frame is aluminium in a silver finish, and the shade is a soft natural cream with a fine woven texture. It takes one E27 bulb, not included, which leaves the choice of brightness and colour of light entirely to you. The height adjusts between 106cm and 150cm, and it measures 20cm across.

Because the arm angles and the height adjusts, this is a lamp that earns its place beside an armchair or sofa, where the shade can be brought over a book, a crossword or a bit of mending.
