Description

The Hebden cushion is pure cotton on both faces, made to be turned over. One side is a plain washed blush; the other carries a soft blush-and-white stripe, so the same cushion gives you two looks depending on which face you show. A gingham-check border in the same warm blush frames the plain side, and a matching stripe runs along the piped edge. The square is a generous size, filled and quilted in a wide grid that holds its shape while staying soft enough to lean into.

This is a cushion for a bed rather than a hard-edged sofa, and it earns its place on a dressed bed built up in layers. It sits happily against larger pillows and shams, and the blush tone works with warm neutrals, cream bedding and natural textures. Because both faces are usable, you can run the plain side out for a calm look one day and the stripe out for something a little more relaxed the next, which makes it an easy cushion to live with.

It is quilted in a large square grid stitched through the wadding, with a striped Oxford border edge and a zip closure so the cover comes off for washing. Being cotton, it washes and wears well and softens further with use, and the washed percale reverse already feels broken in.
