Description

Our Halvessa wall light pairs a glowing alabaster globe with a slim reading light, both set on a round black backplate. It is made from alabaster and iron, and the iron carries a finely textured black finish that frames the pale stone beautifully. Lit, the alabaster glows with soft, cloudy veining, while the angled reading arm ends in a small LED just below the globe. Both lights are integrated LEDs, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It has an LED power of 4.5W and a light output of 270 lumens, with a warm white colour temperature of 2700K and 3000K. It is 25cm tall and 20cm wide, and it stands 15cm out from the wall.

With a reading light built in, it is a natural choice beside the bed, where a pair either side of a headboard gives each of you a soft glow for the room and a light for the page. It works just as well over an armchair in a living room, in a quiet reading corner, or beside a desk in a study. The fitting is dimmable, so you can bring it down to a low evening glow; you will need a compatible dimmer to do so. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, which suits bedrooms, living rooms, landings and studies.

Iron and alabaster meet simply here: the dark, textured metal against the pale stone, which lets light through with a gentle, even warmth.
