Our Halvessa pendant light hangs four alabaster globes from a slim black iron bar, giving you a long horizontal line of soft light rather than a single drop. Each of the four globes is lit by an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change, and the light comes through at a warm 2700K, picking out the cloudy veining in the stone. The fitting is 77cm long with a drop of 180cm, and the bar hangs on two fine suspension cables from a long rectangular ceiling plate.

A linear alabaster pendant like this is at its best over a dining table, where the four globes run along its length, or above a long sideboard, a desk or a reading table in a study. The black bar draws a clean line against pale walls, so it sits as happily in a period room as in a modern one. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
